Danish Shellfish Centre inform, communicate, and entertain about shellfish: about their life cycles, their hatching and production, their meaning for the inlet Limfjord’s ecosystem. All this is done by challenge and exciting shellfish experiences in the hatching areas, in waders along the beach and with a chef in the kitchen.
As one of the only places in Europe, VisionKayak located in Skive offers you the opportunity to head out on the open waters in a completely transparent kayak that act as overgrown water binoculars.
Bring the whole family for a fun day at Humlum Fiskeleje's water park. The water park is located next to Humlum Camping and by a child-friendly sandy beach on the Limfjord.
Glyngøre Harbour and Sailing Club offer a beautiful harbour atmosphere, great facilities, water activities and a welcoming sense of community – all located in the heart of the Limfjord.

The area of Limfjorden offers several unique events that attract thousands of visitors. Both, you can experience events that represent life by the water and ones that represent the areas exclusive gastronomy.
Come and join the festivities in the Shellfish Capital of Denmark where we celebrate our local flat oyster - Limfjord Oysters - some of the worlds best! Mors still has an active fleet of fishermen and is home of the processing industry, Vilsund Blue and Danish Shellfish Centre, DTU Aqua.
The Shellfish Festival is the first weekend in June and is an unique taste experience, a feast for the eyes with new impressions, music to your ears and a maritime experiences for both children and adults.
The festival of the Senses ‘SANS’ is North West Jutland’s coziest food festival, taking place on Saturday, 23 August 2025 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm in downtown Struer.
Mussel Day on Fur takes place on the last Saturday in May. Here, you can enjoy plenty of local mussels, a cozy atmosphere, and a festive event at the harbor on Fur.

SUP yoga/pilates is slow Pilates and yoga exercises which is possible to do on a Stand-Up Paddle board. Here you start with feeling the water beneath you and taking deep breaths. Then you will, slowly, start with other exercises that is more difficult and requires a good balance, but still in a tempo that your body can handle. And it is not as hard as it sounds.

The Limfjord has a natural potential for a sea trout fishery. Denmark's largest fjord receives water from 1/6 of Denmark's area and a star line of Denmark's very best sea trout streams have outlet in the fjord.
