Fur Brewery

Bispehuen (Mitre)

Bispehuen – Geological landmark on Fur
Bispehuen is a striking column of folded diatomite at Fur’s Stendal Quarry. This unique formation reflects the original landscape height and is a popular viewpoint featuring the sculpture Molermanden.

Karoline´s House Fur

Karolines Hus is a gallery at the island Fur that focuses on making art accessible to ordinary homes with changing exhibitions of lesser-known artists. The gallery has flexible opening hours and is always closed on Mondays, except on selected public holidays.

Du you want to be a geologist for a day?

At Fur you can go on a fossil-hunt in the unique mo-clay at this island. Here you can find fossils from different animals and plants. Both amateurs and professionals visit the mo-clay area in hope to find unique fossils - and the best of them will be exhibited at Fur Museum. You can go hunting on your own or join Fur Museum when the arrange fossil-hunting for children and adult during the summer.

Visit the playground on Fur

Playgrounds are always fun when traveling with children. Make a stop at the playground at Fur harbour - to the left from the ferry. Here children can play and have fun on the playground, while the adults can sit nearby and enjoy the beautiful view over Fur harbour and Limfjorden – while keeping an eye on the children of course.
