Håsum–Ramsing – the gateway to Vestsalling

Håsum and Ramsing form a natural hub in the western part of Skive Municipality – right in the heart of Vestsalling and surrounded by magnificent nature. Here, the landscape is open and vibrant, and cycling and walking paths connect the villages with the rest of the region.

Håsum is one of the main entrances to Vestsalling and opens directly onto the beautiful and wildlife-rich Håsum Meadows. Marked hiking routes lead you through meadows, wetlands and open expanses, where birdlife thrives and silence is allowed to unfold. The trails invite both short walks and longer hikes in a landscape that changes with the seasons.

Ramsing lies centrally in Vestsalling, where the former Vestsalling Railway now winds its way through the countryside as a popular walking and cycling route. From here, the entire area is connected, and the journey takes you past open fields, small settlements and through a cohesive cultural landscape.

The area offers a variety of routes, including the Clover Trails near Lem – the red cultural and nature route – as well as the trails in Håsum Meadows, together providing excellent opportunities to explore Vestsalling on foot or by bike. Along the way, you may also encounter local attractions such as the Spøttrup Stone, the Coat of Arms Stone and the atmospheric Butterfly Park, each telling stories about both nature and people.
