Oddense- Skive’s hidden gems
Furniture art, sculptures and quiet trails– where craftsmanship shapes the experience

Oddense – wood, tradition and creative living
Oddense is a place where creativity and tradition go hand in hand. The area has a strong heritage in carpentry and furniture craftsmanship, and in the heart of the town you will find the Wood Museum – known throughout Denmark for its presentation of Danish furniture design and woodcraft. Here you can explore materials, shapes and stories, and the museum is also evolving into a vibrant meeting place for creative communities, offering space for knitting, weaving, crochet and a cup of coffee.
Art also extends into the public space. Around Oddense, you will encounter wooden sculptures created during the Oddense Symposium, where artists transformed oak trunks from Eskjær into unique works of art. Each sculpture tells its own story, inviting reflection and curiosity as you move through the town.
Oddense also invites you to enjoy peaceful moments outdoors. Take one of the many walking routes in and around the town, find quiet reflection in the Pilgrim’s Labyrinth, or visit the local fishing spot where nature sets the pace. History is close at hand at Jeghøj, bearing witness to the area’s long human presence.
Oddense is a place where you can take your time – for art, craftsmanship and the small experiences that arise when you pause.
